Good Grief is one of those songs that are actually pretty sad with a upbeat rythm and this version just gave it a more vulnerable side

In September 2017 a friend of me died, this song was played on his funeral. He died after his brain surgury went wrong, he was 17 years old. When I watch stuff like this my musician heart really bursts because I would die to do this for a living. But some things aren't meant to be. I'm so happy that Bastille made it though! They really deserve it.

People don't really talk about this but this band has one of the most gorgeous harmonies consistently. It's so full and gives their songs so much depth. There's usually some amazing 3 or 4-part harmonies during their choruses that most people would have to hire chorus/backup singers to do. They're not all just talented musicians but wonderful and skilled vocalists. They should consider doing a stripped down acoustic / a capella album. I'd listen the hell out of that shit.

I just had another fight with my mum which is nothing new sadly and this really lifted my mood thank you Bastille for always making things better

As someone who's had to grow up as the one who always had to keep their head, it got hard sometimes and only when I was by myself could I break down and release the emotional build up. It feels like you just lose everything. Even to this day. Spiritual level stuff.

This is how this song should've been in the first place... I never understood the whole "upbeat" vibe about someone dying, but this, this tone is much more fitting to the meaning of the song. Sounds a million times better 👍
